Happy Irish drinking holiday everyone. I'm sure lots of you have plans to go out and sample all or some of the great beers Columbus has to offer just don't forget to earn your turn at the stool with a good hard work out. We'll be meeting at 6:30 for an Irish inspired WOD. Hope to see you then. Afterword please make sure to have a beer for me as I am not drinking for a few more weeks. Why is that you say,iIn support of Jim trying to get a six pack by his 40th birthday we are holding a 30 day Paleo Diet Challenge. Let me explain. For the next 30 days we will be eating only Paleo foods - meat, vegetables, nuts & seeds, a little fruit and no dairy, grains, legumes and high starch vegetables (notice no Guinness or potatoes). The Paleo Diet is based on the concept that the best diet is the one humans are genetically adapted to eat. Quite simply if you can pick it or kill it you can eat it. There is quite a bit of scientific evidence on the subject, see below for some good informationPersonally when I restrict my food intake to the things on this list I am more focused mentally and physically, I perform better in work outs and recover faster. From time to time I splurge ( pizza with family, latte, a good beer etc.) and I feel it. But for the next 30 days (April 12) I'm gonna be strict. So far Jim, Kim, Jeff, Mick & Aaron are in how about you? If that sounds like a little much to take on all at once start by buying a vegetable from the list every time you go to the grocery and please cut down on the processed grains and anything else you cant pronounce.
See you tonight
6:30 WOD
