Zone Diet Challenge - Who's In?

Beginning next Monday (5/17), we will be offering a challenge - follow the Zone diet for 30 days.

What's the Zone, you ask? It's a good ol' sort of diet in which you balance your intake of macronutrients (carbohydrates/proteins/fats) at every meal. And while there are recommendations about what you consume, you could Zone everything from a strict paleolithic diet to the Diet of the Golden Arches. Folks have successfully lost weight, gained muscle, and/or improved CrossFit performance while Zoning - we're talking more pull-ups here, people (generally not on the Golden Arches variety).

The trick is planning. Optimal results come from weighing and measuring for the first week or two, but you can certainly go with the estimation option. Regardless, I suggest you plan out a hypothetical week of meals and give it to Rachel C. That way we can share plans, hold each other accountable, and commiserate if necessary. But I don't think that will be the case, as this way of eating should make you feel a lot better. Check out CrossFit Journal article #21 to sample meals and how to go from bananas to blocks.

So who's in?

Or be afraid. Be very afraid.
